  • Own compliance submissions to UL, CSA, FCC, CE and RCM.
  • Keep submission files and compliance records complete and carefully organised.
  • Talk with certification bodies and third-party test labs.

  • Monitor schedules, spot risks and keep a close log of open actions.
  • Give the business clear, accurate status updates.
  • Work with engineers on technical problems and move them forward without needing direction.
  • Question and clarify information so problems actually get solved, not just passed along.
  • Build a working knowledge of electrical regulations and see each certification process through to completion.
  • Run smaller innovation or hardware projects in the United States when capacity allows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing product certification and meeting compliance requirements.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work on your own.
  • Enough technical knowledge to understand and resolve engineering issues.

  • Ability to work well with engineers and other collaborators.
  • Organised and diligent, with careful record-keeping.
  • Experience preparing submissions for regulations such as UL, CSA, FCC, CE and RCM.
  • Ability to track schedules, identify risks and keep an exact log of actions.
  • Ambition and drive to deliver projects to completion.
  • Familiarity with electrical regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Occasional travel, about 20%.
