Software Engineer, Identity Engineering, Associate

Description

The role sits in identity engineering and centres on core development infrastructure, libraries and frameworks.

You will build, develop and test the shared tooling that engineering teams depend on, and set the systems software policies, standards and procedures that go with it.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test core development infrastructure, libraries and frameworks.
• Write systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
• Use operating-system level tools and services to find and fix problems where user-space applications meet the underlying operating system.
• Carry out high-level root cause analysis when services are interrupted.
• Help restore services to normal once a problem has been resolved.

Requirements

• Experience with operating-system level tooling and diagnosing faults between applications and the OS.
• Ability to reason through root causes of service outages at a high level.

Conditions

Hybrid working: you are currently expected to be in the office at least 4 days a week, with 1 day a week working from home.

Some business groups may require more office time, depending on the role.
