The role exists to design, build and improve software that gives business, platform and technology capabilities to customers and colleagues, using a range of engineering methods.

The team works across product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements, shape solutions and keep work aligned with business goals.

The company Services Corp. is hiring several Web Portal Developers based in New York, NY.

As an analyst, you are expected to build deep technical knowledge in your area, guide colleagues where useful, and take responsibility for the results of your team's work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software in industry-standard languages, frameworks and tools, writing code that scales, is easy to maintain and performs well.
• Design, build and maintain new and existing application features, owning the technical solution end to end so it meets the business outcome.
• Profile applications to find inefficiencies and bottlenecks, then tune performance.
• Apply agile practices to deliver web products, combining research, solution design, clear communication and problem solving.
• Plan your workload, grasp requirements, and give timely, accurate estimates and impact analysis.
• Work directly with business users to understand their needs, explain new features and look into reported issues.
• Coordinate with testing, release and engineering teams, and help the development team with production support.
• Help diagnose system faults found during testing and review test strategies to protect software quality.
• Write secure code that guards against vulnerabilities and protects sensitive data.
• Write unit tests that confirm sound design, readability and reliability.
• Take part in code reviews, share knowledge with peers and help build a strong code quality culture.
• Track emerging technologies, test their practical use and contribute to internal technology communities.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the principles behind your area of expertise, applied through hands-on experience.
• Ability to make sound, detail-focused judgements from factual analysis and to solve problems using past precedent.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining complex or sensitive information to others.
• Ability to guide and persuade team members and to work with stakeholders outside your immediate function.

Conditions

Hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office, with remote work permitted under company policy.
