Description

The company is a cloud security business whose Zero Trust Exchange platform protects customers from cyberattacks and data loss by connecting users, devices and applications securely from any location. The platform runs from more than 200 public data centers worldwide and thousands of private edge sites, making it the largest in-line cloud security platform of its kind.

The company is building an AI-native organization in which people work alongside machine intelligence to tackle hard security problems. Its values are ownership and collaboration, trust built through results, and a culture that welcomes challenge and ongoing feedback.

This role sits in the Identity and Access Management department and reports to the Senior Director, Engineering. You will build workflows and application integrations with the wider IAM team, Product Management and business teams. Identity now serves as the main security perimeter, and you will help design and build enterprise-grade identity management products that let organizations move faster on a cloud-first strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build enterprise-grade identity management products.
  • Take part in designing and implementing core product features and major technical initiatives.
  • Coach junior engineers on sound software development practices.
  • Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture.
  • Work with other teams to take projects from first concept through to production.

Requirements

  • Comfort with ambiguity: you build the route as you go and see changing conditions as a chance to create useful solutions.
  • A sense of ownership, with a commitment to the mission, high integrity, and the ability to move between high-level strategy and hands-on work.
  • A proactive approach to problems: you lean into hard challenges and focus on solutions with high impact.
  • You build trust by putting the team first, welcoming feedback and speaking candidly and respectfully.
  • A growth mindset: you seek out feedback and development to become a stronger partner, teammate and leader.
  • Foundational knowledge of AI and ML, and experience using, securing or proposing AI-driven solutions that improve results in your area.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture and development.
  • Expert knowledge of Enterprise Java, object-oriented programming and analysis, systems architecture, RESTful APIs, and frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management protocols, specifically SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience building enterprise-grade security or networking products.
  • Preferred: proven use of AI tools and workflows to produce measurable gains in operational efficiency.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and container infrastructure.
  • Preferred: experience with reactive programming in Java.
