Description

The company is a leading iGaming and lottery solutions provider listed on the Euronext Athens exchange, operating across online gaming, lottery, iLottery, and sports betting.

It was formed by combining a digital B2C business with a long-established regulated lottery operator, creating an independent global player in the sector.

The hiring process has two steps: an introductory chat with HR and your future team, then a final conversation. It usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and evolve core backend systems that power the company's applications and services.
  • Build and maintain web applications within a microservices setup.
  • Produce clean, efficient code that is well documented.
  • Work with the team to understand requirements and shape technical solutions.
  • Assist internal and external customers when they need it.
  • Track new technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of Java development experience.
  • The team runs Java 17 and is moving to Java 21, so you will work with current tools.
  • Experience with Spring Boot; the codebase currently uses version 2.6.
  • An understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of multithreading and testing frameworks such as JUnit.
  • Experience with MySQL and the Hibernate ORM.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git, SVN) and Maven.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, Kubernetes, Docker, and Kafka.
  • You work well in a team and solve problems effectively.

Conditions

The advertised salary range is the expected pay band for the role. The final offer depends on your experience, qualifications, skills, and expected contribution, and may fall outside the range where justified under internal pay equity, market conditions, payroll procedures, and applicable law.

The work model is hybrid.

Benefits

  • A competitive pay package plus additional benefits.
  • Private health insurance covering you and your family.
  • Modern offices, parking on site, a restaurant, and a corporate bus.
  • An extensive training program at induction and throughout your employment.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow in a multinational setting.
  • Room for career progression both locally and internationally.
