Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

Description

You will join a growing technology group in Greece made up of engineers and technology professionals working on AI-driven digital transformation.

The team builds modern products and enterprise systems that combine solid engineering with Generative AI, intelligent agents and cloud-native technology.

This is a role for an ambitious, self-driven senior Java engineer on the AI software engineering group.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise-grade, custom multi-tier applications.
• Contribute to the design and development of scalable, AI-enabled products, applications and platforms.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems and data sources.
• Work closely with software engineers, QA engineers, DevOps and cloud engineers, business analysts and the product owner.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, applied sciences or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience using Java.
• Working experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring, JPA and Hibernate.
• Solid experience with Maven for build automation and dependency management.
• Working knowledge of React, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS.
• Strong database and SQL skills, with experience in at least one of Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DB2 or MySQL.
• Sound understanding of client-server architecture and of SOAP and REST web services.
• Hands-on experience with AI spec-driven development (SDD) frameworks such as BMAD-METHOD, Superpowers or GitHub Spec Kit, or similar tools such as OpenSpec, and turning specs, plans and tasks into working code with AI coding agents.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Azure DevOps or a similar platform for version control and CI/CD.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver sprint goals on time.
• Ability to write technical documentation and analytical skills to design algorithms.
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Clear, concise and professional communication, written and verbal, in English and Greek.
• Commitment to high-quality work and strong client relationships.
• Optional, a plus: experience with one of NoSQL (MongoDB), Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
