Software Engineer 2 (.NET Core / C# web applications)

Description

The team builds and keeps up software experiences, covering analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance.

You will work on your own initiative, collaborating with your team and across the organization.

You take ownership of what you produce and meet the company's standards so that customers are barely affected by changes.

Knowledge of the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps practices is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, run and maintain products.
• Own your work end to end by writing production-ready, testable code.
• Create designs that follow architecture best practices, weighing scalability, reliability and performance of every system a change touches.
• Investigate failures, propose design changes and push for operational improvements.
• Make sound design and coding choices with the customer experience first.
• Act on code review feedback and update your work to meet standards.
• Review others' code to guide engineering practice and compliance with development procedures.
• Be accountable for compliance and security across all product development.
• Build software reliability engineering standards into everyday development.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing and supporting.NET Core and C# web applications, APIs and enterprise services.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning and T-SQL development.
• Experience building and running solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Container Apps.
• Experience providing technical support and operational ownership for production applications used across the enterprise.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, release management and DevOps practices.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools to find and fix performance, availability and reliability problems.
• 3+ years of experience with Python scripting, automation or service development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work across functions with product, engineering, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant experience.
