IAM Sr Engineer - Global Industrial

Description

The Cyber Defense Engineer III works with limited supervision across cloud security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), infrastructure protection, cyber recovery, Disaster Recovery (DR) engineering, application security, DevSecOps, security tooling and automation, and data loss prevention.

The role takes on increasingly complex day-to-day Cyber Defense Engineer work within the assigned domain.

Responsibilities

• Affect one or more areas, functions, or processes.
• Build interfaces of moderate complexity between ERP and legacy systems.
• Support production applications of moderate complexity by diagnosing issues, proposing fixes, building and testing them, and moving them into production.
• Write back-end code and front-end scripts to improve performance, scalability, and security.
• Write program logic for new or existing software and applications from designs set by senior developers and leadership.
• Install, configure, build workflows for, monitor, and upgrade assigned software products.
• Keep current records of problems in existing code.
• Check the quality and performance of applications through testing and upkeep.
• Build and maintain applications that support business processes and systems.
• Make sure associate and application developers in your immediate group follow development best practices and standards, and represent IT on projects when required.
• Find ways to improve processes and procedures, and share them with other departments to raise efficiency and service levels.
• Propose workable fixes for problems in existing software.
• Build forecasts and models using advanced analytical tools.
• Carry out other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Typically a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, plus five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
• Manage several tasks at once and meet deadlines.
• Stay current on new technology and computer systems.
• Explain complex procedures clearly to colleagues.
• Understand current trends and how they apply in a commercial setting.
• Notice details and dig into data.
