The team is multidisciplinary, spanning cloud, design, business consulting, security and engineering, across more than 20 EMEA countries.

The company has more than 10,000 tech and business staff working on cloud, data and cyber security.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend scalable Java applications, applying object-oriented principles and accepted best practices.
• Write, test and debug Java code so applications perform well and stay reliable.
• Work with teammates to study requirements and turn them into technical specifications.
• Review colleagues' code to keep quality high and pass on what you know.
• Build and maintain APIs, and connect third-party services to existing applications.
• Tune application performance and track down faults in an orderly way.
• Write documentation for code and technical solutions so they stay clear and easy to maintain.
• Help plan and estimate development work within sprints.
• Keep up with new technologies and practices in Java development.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Strong Java skills, with a solid grasp of object-oriented design patterns.
• Hands-on work with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Experience building enterprise-level applications and RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• You work well in a team and explain technical ideas clearly.
• Experience with agile development methods.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
