Senior Backend Developer (.NET / Azure)

The company provides information services and solutions for professionals in finance, tax and accounting, risk and compliance, health and legal sectors, combining domain expertise with specialised technology and services.

The Tax & Accounting Software business unit builds and sells software for tax and accounting professionals, including ERP, accounting, financial and tax advisory, and practice management products.

The business unit is hiring a Senior Backend Developer for Cloud Solutions to support its digital transformation.

You will work with a team of about 6 people across several sites, mainly from the Porto office, with occasional travel to other locations.

The team is looking for someone who is self-directed and enterprising, enjoys technology, has.NET software development experience, wants to help turn strategy into cloud solutions, and is a versatile agile developer with real interest in several areas: back-end development in C and Visual Studio, DevOps, cloud architecture, UX, and Azure.

You can explain ideas clearly to different stakeholders and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Help move the company's software products to the cloud as part of an agile team that values timely delivery of high-quality cloud software.
• Concentrate on one ongoing project while also taking part in new initiatives.
• Build business logic, design database access and APIs.
• Apply the basics of testing and test automation.
• Estimate the technical impact of requirements accurately, using your expertise.
• Question requirements and designs and offer constructive input.
• Work with complex architectures and code structures.
• Work closely with the Technical Architect and Product Owner.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues.
• The role offers variety and autonomy, with current tools, databases and documentation.
• Current stack: C,.NET Standard, Azure DevOps, Test Driven Development, Entity Framework, Domain Driven Design, ASP.NET Core, Azure, App Services, App Insights, Git, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, SASS, Azure Service Bus, SQL Elastic Pools, Azure Functions, Redis, Power BI, Elastic SQL Jobs, API Gateway, ARM templates, Azure AD, Identity Server, OWIN, OAuth2, OpenID Connect.

Requirements

• Experience in.NET software development.
• A genuine interest in technology and in several domains: back-end development in C and Visual Studio, DevOps, cloud architecture, UX and Azure.
• Clear communication with a range of stakeholders.
• A team player who is a good colleague.

Conditions

Hybrid role: you spend at least 8 days a month at the Porto office.

Some travel to other locations may occur.
