Description

The company is a global smart mobility provider, headquartered in Arizona and operating in 15 countries across 22 languages.

Its commercial services arm builds smart roadways for the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies, handling tolling transactions and violations for more than 8.5 million vehicles.

The platform processes close to 165 million transactions a year, connecting with more than 50 tolling authorities and over 400 issuing authorities.

The company is growing quickly, both organically and through acquisitions, and puts people first in how it works.

The role builds new cloud-based applications and, step by step, supports and modernizes legacy applications built on.NET Framework, C, and ASP.NET.

Responsibilities

  • Build and change applications in C, modern.NET and.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, React, and SQL/PL/SQL.
  • Build backend services, APIs, frontend parts, and integrations from technical designs and product requirements.
  • Work on microservice and micro frontend applications, following the architecture and engineering standards already in place.
  • Apply object-oriented design, SOLID, clean code, separation of concerns, dependency injection, and suitable design patterns, learning from senior engineers and Tech Leads.
  • Create reusable, maintainable React/TypeScript components and connect them to backend APIs.
  • Deploy and run applications in the cloud, mainly Azure, using established cloud and DevOps practices.
  • Take part in iterative development and release work within Scrum.
  • Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests, making sure changes meet quality standards.
  • Use approved generative AI and code generation tools for requirements work, coding, refactoring, test generation, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Check AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and compliance before accepting it.
  • Work alongside Product Managers, Tech Leads, senior developers, Architects, QA, DevOps, application support, and others.
  • Keep building your skills and gradually take on more complex features and technical decisions.
  • Own assigned stories and features from development through testing, deployment, and production validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 6+ years of professional software development, including substantial hands-on enterprise work in C and.NET.
  • Hands-on full-stack experience with.NET and modern frontend technology such as React.
  • Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working with relational databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in teams and with Agile methodologies is required.
  • Solid hands-on skills in C,.NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API, REST services, LINQ, dependency injection, asynchronous programming, and Entity Framework/EF Core.
  • Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, component-based development, and REST API integration.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID, common design patterns, layered architecture, clean code, APIs, and microservices. Desirable: exposure to micro frontends and event-driven architecture.
  • Cloud development experience, preferably Azure, plus familiarity with CI/CD, source control, automated builds and deployments, containers, application configuration, logging, and monitoring.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills, preferably SQL Server, covering queries, stored procedures, data access, troubleshooting, and performance basics.
  • Ability to understand, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve applications built on.NET Framework, C, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
  • Experience writing unit tests, plus integration and API testing, mocking, code reviews, static analysis, debugging, and secure coding practices.
  • Practical experience with generative AI coding tools, or a strong willingness to become proficient with them for coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and productivity.
  • Works in line with the company's values: Do What's Right, Lead With Grace, Own It, and Win Together. Also values Choose Courage Over Comfort, which means addressing issues early and choosing progress over ease.
