Description

The company builds industrial software used by enterprises in energy, infrastructure, chemicals and minerals to run their operations safely, efficiently and more sustainably.

The role leads large, complex industrial software projects for current and future customers. Projects can cover several sites and run from initiation through go-live, hypercare and handover, and must finish on schedule, within scope and in line with commercial terms.

You are the customer-facing delivery lead. You work closely with solution architects, technical leads and practice and product stakeholders to confirm the solution approach and execution plan.

This is more than project management. You need a working grasp of the technical and commercial side of the work, enough to handle executive discussions and difficult negotiations, and you also do detailed delivery planning and technical coordination with customer experts and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage each project from initiation through planning, execution, go-live, hypercare and handover.
  • Set the scope, milestones, work breakdown structure, staffing plans and delivery model, whether Agile, Waterfall or a mix.
  • Run delivery governance: daily standups, a weekly status cadence, risk reviews, steering committees and quarterly business reviews.
  • Give executives clear updates, set expectations and push for timely decisions by explaining trade-offs and their impact.
  • Work with solution architects and technical leads to validate designs for MES, SCADA, IoT, digital twins, edge compute and cloud data flows, and make sure integrations with PLCs, OT systems, historians, data lakes, ERP, MES, PLM, MOM and manufacturing analytics line up.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams, including software engineers, OT and automation specialists, DevOps, QA, data engineers and site services.

Requirements

  • Essential: 8 to 12+ years of project or program management experience with industrial software such as MES, SCADA, IoT, manufacturing analytics, edge or automation.
  • Essential: proven delivery in production or plant environments, including multi-site or global rollouts.
  • Essential: hands-on experience coordinating OT and IT teams and leading integrations with ERP, PLM or MOM systems.
  • Essential: strong command of project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Essential: a track record of managing projects from $1M to $10M+ and complex stakeholder groups.
  • Essential: strong executive communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Essential: a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial or manufacturing systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Desired skills: experience in one or more of automotive, CPG, pharma or life sciences, chemicals, oil and gas, semiconductors or heavy industry.
  • Desired skills: familiarity with platforms such as Aveva or Wonderware, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens Opcenter or WinCC, Ignition, GE Digital, PTC ThingWorx, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, OSIsoft or the company PI, Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Desired skills: experience with data pipelines or ETL, historians, time-series databases and manufacturing analytics.
  • Desired skills: knowledge of OT cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443), ISA-95 or ISA-88, and CSV or GxP for regulated industries.
  • Desired skills: certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster or SAFe, ITIL, or Six Sigma or Lean.
