Description

The company is a private equity-backed software business that is growing quickly. It builds one connected platform for public safety, covering dispatch, policing, forensics, courts and more, and has expanded through acquisitions and steady product investment.

Its software runs behind the scenes when emergency calls are answered, when detectives work cases and when forensic labs process evidence, and has done so for over 40 years.

The company is putting AI at the core of its products, built into the daily workflows of customers and developed alongside them.

The team's goal is to help agencies make sound decisions when the stakes are high. AI-enabled tools support parts of recruiting, but people make all hiring and employment decisions.

  • Give senior candidates a high-touch, high-quality experience.
  • Use recruitment metrics, market data and compensation intelligence to advise leaders and shape hiring strategy.
  • Challenge assumptions, spot gaps and propose improvements to recruitment processes, tools and systems.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and automation to work more effectively, with human judgement applied to hiring decisions.
  • Train hiring managers on structured interviewing and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Act as the team's subject matter expert and informal coach on best practice and complex searches.
  • Keep hiring practices and candidate data handling compliant with employment laws and internal policies across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Take on other related duties that support team goals, department needs and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive recruitment or talent acquisition experience, including hiring Senior Manager and Director roles, ideally in technology or software.
  • Executive presence and the credibility to advise and influence the C-suite and senior leaders.
  • A proven record of delivering talent acquisition initiatives from planning through implementation, with strong project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-enabled recruiting tools and automation, and sound judgement on how to apply them.
  • A strong grasp of sourcing techniques, applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse preferred) and recruitment analytics, plus the business acumen to use analytics when advising leaders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills that work at every level of the organization.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
