Description

Mirage is an AI video company focused on making creation dramatically easier. Our team tackles some of the hardest creative and technical challenges in generative media.

We get to rethink how people collaborate with AI that can actually do creative work with them—defining entirely new interaction paradigms for AI-native video tools. We make that possible by building multimodal agents that turn creative direction into edits, rendering engines that composite multiple layers of video and graphics, and generative video models trained from the ground up that create new media when needed.

All of this comes together in Captions, our creative workspace for generating, editing, and designing video. The technology behind Captions is now available more broadly: Tesseract gives any AI agent native video-editing capabilities, while developers can integrate our models into their own products through APIs.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Business Recruiter to lead complex hiring across our Marketing, Product, Design, and Operations teams. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and functional leaders to translate evolving business needs into clear hiring plans and bring structure to challenging searches.

You’ll independently own a portfolio that includes senior, specialized, and difficult-to-fill roles. We’ll look to you to diagnose stalled searches, challenge assumptions with evidence, and navigate competitive closes. Beyond delivering hires, you’ll strengthen hiring decisions and lead practical improvements that help Mirage attract, assess, and close exceptional talent.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead complex, senior, and specialized searches from kickoff through offer acceptance.
  • Advise hiring managers and functional leaders on candidate profiles, evaluation criteria, and hiring tradeoffs.
  • Build targeted sourcing campaigns and relationships with sought-after talent, including candidates not actively exploring opportunities.
  • Guide assessments and debriefs, shape tailored closing strategies, and lead complex offer negotiations.
  • Use data and market insights to diagnose recruiting challenges, prioritize opportunities, and align stakeholders on changes that improve hiring outcomes.
  • Mentor teammates and develop AI agent workflows that streamline operations and strengthen recruiting execution.
  • What makes you a great fit
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting or related people functions, including 3+ years independently managing and closing full-cycle searches.
  • A track record of hiring across business or technical functions, including senior, specialized, and difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Sound judgment in clarifying hiring needs, assessing candidates, and advising leaders, supported by data and market insights.
  • Strong sourcing and closing skills, with experience engaging sought-after talent and navigating competitive offer negotiations.
  • A collaborative approach to recruiting, with clear communication, reliable follow-through, and experience partnering across teams to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Humility and self-awareness, with openness to feedback, a willingness to learn from others, and a commitment to sharing knowledge.
  • Startup or high-growth technology experience is a strong plus!

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans
  • 401K with employer match
  • Commuter Benefits
