This is a Senior Systems or Staff Hardware Engineer role supporting Arm-based hardware platforms in lab and data center settings.

You will help bring up, validate and troubleshoot complex AI compute platforms such as server blades, racks and rack-scale infrastructure, working alongside engineering, platform and data center teams.

The systems and hardware engineering teams handle bring-up, validation and operational reliability for the company's AI infrastructure, from early development through production, with server engineering, firmware, platform architects and data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead break-fix troubleshooting on server blades, motherboards, power systems and rack-scale infrastructure.
• Diagnose system-level faults involving thermal behavior, power anomalies, network configuration and BIOS/BMC issues.
• Work with server engineering to run root cause analysis and recommend fixes or design changes.
• Support bring-up work, including validating components and testing how they interact with firmware.
• Help deploy next-generation hardware through structured validation and qualification cycles.
• Liaise with facilities and infrastructure teams on environmental conditions that affect system reliability.
• Write and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides and validation documentation.
• Mentor junior technicians and engineers in troubleshooting methods and hardware diagnostics.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with server hardware architectures and board-level debugging.
• Experience reading system logs, hardware telemetry and power and thermal metrics to isolate hardware faults.
• Hands-on work with HPC systems, AI compute platforms or rack-scale infrastructure.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well in engineering environments that move quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Desirable: experience supporting prototype or pre-production hardware bring-up.
• Desirable: familiarity with data center facilities, including liquid cooling and power distribution.
• Desirable: experience using Python, Bash or automation tools for hardware validation or troubleshooting.
• Desirable: exposure to structured failure analysis and reliability engineering methods.
