Senior Systems Design Engineer

Description

The company makes memory and storage products, and this role sits at the point where those products meet automotive customers.

You will work with customers and partners on the memory side of infotainment, telematics, advanced driver assistance and autonomous vehicle platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work with Tier 1 suppliers, automakers and chipset vendors to propose solutions that use current and emerging memory technologies in current and future generation vehicle platforms.
• Define product requirements to help build, drive and deliver the next generation of memory products.
• Research, develop, document and share solution designs that partners and customers can reuse.
• Promote joint solutions with customers across the sales and field application team, supporting growth for the company and your assigned customers.
• Work with product line management and product architecture so customer needs shape product and solution roadmaps.
• Work with segment marketing and business development to extend the global reach of solutions.
• Offer technical leadership, follow industry trends and help shape strategy based on the ecosystem and market.
• Act as the main technical advocate for future and next-generation products within your assigned partners and customers.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field, plus 60 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Understand automotive electrical and electronics, including autonomous and ADAS systems, infotainment, and centralized or zonal architectures.
• Have experience with software-defined vehicle platforms, automotive computers or high-performance systems.
• Have embedded systems architecture and engineering experience.
• Understand automotive functional safety and security.
• Have worked with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Have systems experience covering automotive hardware architecture, design, testing and troubleshooting.
• Understand DRAM and managed NAND architecture in systems and platforms.

Conditions

Travel of up to 15% domestic and 5% international is required.
