Description

The company makes memory and storage products. This role sits on the CAD team that builds simulation tools for analog and digital circuits.

You will join engineers who work with design and verification groups around the world. You will help improve and run verification flows, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market and customer satisfaction.

The work involves simulating and tuning complex analog and digital circuits. The aim is new flows that raise productivity and reduce pre-silicon failures.

Responsibilities

  • Support memory design teams with their daily problems and deliver complete solutions that last.
  • Find areas that need improvement, then propose and build new solutions.
  • Write scalable, clean software.
  • Keep testing new tools and technologies, and adopt the ones that improve current software flows.
  • Evaluate EDA tools with vendors and integrate them into CAD flows.
  • Lead rollout of agentic flows that use AI-assisted and automated workflows, including copilot-style assistants, agentic AI and rule-aware automation, for circuit simulation and verification.
  • Guide junior engineers and support their professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a related technical field, plus 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Background in simulation flows for analog circuits.
  • Deep skill in debugging circuit simulations, with strong knowledge of current design and simulation methods.
  • Hands-on use of at least one circuit simulator, such as Finesim, Primesim, XA, Spectre, VCS or Xcelium.
  • Hands-on work with Cadence Virtuoso custom IC, including Virtuoso-L and Virtuoso-XL, and schematic capture, or Synopsys Custom Compiler or equivalent.
  • Preferred: develop and deploy AI-enabled methods for circuit simulation flows.
  • Preferred: hands-on Python or Perl with object-oriented programming.
  • Preferred: solid grasp of CMOS concepts and electronics fundamentals.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Linux, LSF, shell scripting, TCL and SKILL (Cadence).
  • Added advantage: experience with parasitic extraction tools such as StarRC or Quantus.
  • Preferred: strong problem solving, with the ability to troubleshoot complex circuit issues.
  • Preferred: effective work with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Added advantage: EM/IR and static timing analysis (STA) experience.
  • Added advantage: AI/ML experience.
