Description

This role works with customers and several internal teams to turn system-level power needs into product and design requirements for next-generation voltage-regulation solutions.

Core expectations are solid DC/DC power conversion knowledge and hands-on exposure to high-current processors, ASICs or similar power-management designs. Backgrounds in systems engineering, applications engineering, power electronics or semiconductor product development all fit.

The company is an embedded semiconductor provider serving automotive, industrial, infrastructure and IoT markets, with more than 21,000 engineers across over 30 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Collect power challenges and technical needs from customers, partners and internal engineers.
  • Convert system and customer needs into product specifications, engineering requirements and use cases.
  • Help shape voltage-regulator architecture and product definition for high-performance CPU, GPU, ASIC and other advanced computing platforms.
  • Work with IC design, systems, firmware, validation and marketing teams to weigh technical trade-offs, feature needs and schedules.
  • Write and maintain product requirements, system specifications, use cases and interface/API requirements.
  • Support system analysis, modeling and technical assessment of new product concepts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in power electronics, power-management semiconductors, applications or systems engineering, or similar product development.
  • A track record of turning system or customer needs into actionable technical requirements or engineering specifications.
  • Clear written and spoken technical communication.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Preferred: experience with digital multiphase buck converters, PWM controllers, Smart Power Stages, DrMOS or related processor power technologies.
  • Preferred: experience supporting server, datacenter, cloud or high-performance computing platforms.
  • Preferred: experience working with power-management ICs or semiconductor products.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Intel, AMD, ARM or other advanced processor ecosystems.
  • Preferred: experience writing product requirement documents, system specifications, use cases or technical interface/API documentation.
  • Preferred: MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related discipline.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate based on sex, race, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.

The work involves dual-use technology under U.S. export controls, so the company may need a U.S. government export license before sharing that technology with certain people, and the company alone decides whether to apply for one.

Benefits

  • A competitive benefits package alongside salary, with details shared during the hiring process.
