Staff Software Development Engineer

Description

The company is growing and is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to help improve its products.

The company is a global software firm based in San Diego, California, and part of the Renesas Group. It builds cloud-based software for electronics design and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Write and test low-level code, such as computational geometry and algorithms, as well as high-level application and business logic code.
• Create new algorithms and the specifications behind them.
• Maintain and support existing source code across several products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong C skills, including.NET Framework and.NET Core.
• Use modern programming techniques and patterns.
• Tune performance and memory use with tools such as PerfView, Visual Studio Profiler and RenderDoc, or similar.
• Write efficient, compact code that runs across platforms.
• Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures, with hands-on complexity analysis.
• Design modular code that is easy to extend.
• Communicate clearly in English, in writing and in speech, in a professional setting.
• Definite advantage: Delphi experience.
• Additional advantage: familiarity with CAD tools.
