The Information Research group at the company supports pharmaceutical R&D scientists by putting in place technical solutions that fit their needs.

You will work closely with scientists and technology staff on everyday problems and on bringing the company's laboratories into digital operation.

The company is looking for a strong candidate who likes solving business problems with smart technology. You will work with business leaders to find opportunities, improve processes and turn ideas into working systems. You will be involved across the full life cycle of business systems, from identifying needs and defining requirements through implementation, testing and change support.

Responsibilities

  • Get hands-on with application configuration and deployment, or with selecting and implementing packages.
  • Advise business units and IT management and staff at a high technical level on every phase of application deployment and process implementation, across varied development platforms and computing environments such as host based, distributed, client server, software, hardware, and related technologies and tools.
  • Design workflows that share data between systems using established system integration protocols and patterns.
  • Turn functional specifications into application design specifications, including application architectures, hardware and software configuration specifications, relational database schemas, and component or class specifications.
  • Work closely with Business Systems Analysts, client users, and IT management and staff to identify technical solutions or a mix of available options.
  • Work with the company's infrastructure, technical and security teams to plan, deploy and integrate its technical services and components into one seamless solution.
  • Lead and organise application design sessions with developers.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree plus 4 years of technical experience, or a master's degree plus 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Experience with cloud deployment, DevOps and system integration.
  • Working knowledge of.NET, Python, JavaScript, shell scripting, or another scripting language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication.
  • You must be able to lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
  • You must focus on deliverables and be detail oriented, with a strong customer focus.
  • You must be an exceptional team player.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS is highly desired.

Conditions
