Description

Exchanging medical data is one of the largest unsolved problems in US healthcare, and the company was built to address it.

The company connects to the data sources that future healthcare providers depend on and converts raw, unusable records into one clean format that care teams and their agents can act on. Record retrieval across thousands of legacy systems, which once took weeks, now takes seconds, so clinicians can review a full patient history before an appointment and catch conditions early.

The company is a technology business operating in healthcare. It builds its own connect, transform, and insight layers. It began in data exchange, competes with the largest data platforms in the field, and aims to become the infrastructure healthcare runs on.

The company has raised $28.4 million from investors including Matrix, ARTIS, and Y Combinator. It has multi-million dollar ARR, more than 100 customers including Amazon One Medical, Circle Medical, Color Health, and Strive Health, and years of runway.

The team is small and high output, made up mostly of former founders, including YC alumni. It works with real autonomy and little bureaucracy, and hires based on skill rather than credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how customers work, design solutions to their problems, and build those designs yourself.
  • Own the design system, including a simple, consistent language for components, spacing, typography, and color.
  • Lead frontend implementation, set its direction, review builds against the design intent, and write production code where it counts most.
  • Speak with users and advocate for their needs, form a clear point of view on the right solution, and push the work toward it.
  • Design interfaces for dense, high-volume medical data, make layout and performance tradeoffs, and judge when good enough is the right bar.
  • Apply the 80/20 rule so the team ships quickly and keeps users happy.
  • Treat design like a sturdy, well-made table: it does its job, looks right in the room, lasts, and is finished. Decide when a design needs more thought and when it should ship.

Requirements

  • You have an entrepreneurial streak and take ownership of problems, including ones outside your core area, without waiting to be asked.
  • You push back on long estimates, asking why three weeks of work cannot be done in three days, while knowing when a quick v0 is fine and when a shortcut will cause trouble later.
  • You produce considered Figma work, with clear opinions on typography, hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
  • You know React well enough to lead implementation and run reviews covering component architecture, rendering behavior, and state management.
  • You know what to polish and what to ship, balancing craft and speed.
  • You have low ego, high ownership, and a bias toward getting things done.

Conditions

Leaders work in the office six days a week, and the team is generally expected to be available six days a week.

  • A MacBook provided by the company.
  • Unlimited PTO, with the expectation that you take the time you need to perform at your best.
