Description

The Clinical Solutions Development team is a fast-moving group with high quality standards, working on patient discharge, one of healthcare's harder problems.

The team is growing its scope and is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale data-driven healthcare solutions.

The team works like a startup inside a larger organization: close collaboration, questioning the status quo, and steady improvement.

The company is the AI-powered intelligence and workflow platform that helps health systems and post-acute providers turn fragmented healthcare data into action, through market intelligence, referral workflows, patient discharge automation, and care coordination tools.

The platform draws on billions of data points across claims, referrals, discharge, and clinical data. It serves more than 17,000 customers and over 63,000 users across the care continuum.

The company launched its first product in 2016 and is headquartered in Atlanta, with a growing Philadelphia presence and team members across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Own major parts of the architecture, set technical direction, and raise engineering quality across the team.
  • Design complex, scalable systems, review code, and keep technical documentation and diagrams current against best practices.
  • Solve difficult issues, improve performance and reliability, and lead root cause analysis and ongoing improvement.
  • Build cloud-native solutions and contribute to CI/CD, automation, containerization, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring.
  • Apply security best practices, reduce risk, and make sure work meets applicable standards and regulations.
  • Set best practices for testing, documentation, and observability across the team.
  • Mentor engineers, share your expertise, and help build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and learning.
  • Design efficient API integration patterns and backend services, define API contracts with front-end engineers, and keep data flowing reliably between systems.
  • Work closely with design, product, and other business units.
  • Take ownership of product features that advance the company's mission.
  • Improve how the team works through process changes and technical contributions.
  • Stay focused on customer value and deliver results that help customers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development, including distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • Expert-level programming and API development in Java, Python, JavaScript, and REST, with a solid grasp of architectural patterns and system design.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and container orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work well across functions.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
  • Good working knowledge of JSON, SQL, and Git.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and logging.
  • A steady drive to learn and try new things.
  • Nice to have: experience building healthcare applications.
