Description

The company is a sports technology and iGaming business listed on NASDAQ, serving thousands of partners worldwide with sports data and content. It operates across sports, media and betting, and more than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators and consumer platforms in 120 countries use its technology.

The team builds the SDK and embeddable widgets that carry live sports data, odds and content to partner products. Hundreds of operators use them to reach millions of users. The role suits an engineer who writes code for other developers and works well with AI coding agents.

You will ship work within existing foundations, alongside experienced Staff and Senior Engineers who mentor and guide you. The engineering practice is being built around modern tooling and AI agents, and how you work with those tools counts as much as your seniority.

Responsibilities

  • Extend the SDK inside its current architecture by adding modules, integrations and TypeScript definitions, and keep quality and test coverage high.
  • Build embeddable widgets that render correctly on any partner page. Turn mocks into responsive, themeable and accessible UI on your own, without handing off the final layer to a front-end specialist.
  • Connect internal services and partner APIs to the SDK and widgets over REST, WebSocket and SSE. Build in retries, reconnection, caching and graceful degradation suited to live sports data.
  • Use AI coding agents every day and build that practice into the repositories. Write context files, reusable skills and commands, and MCP server integrations. Keep typecheck, lint and test commands fast so agents can work independently.
  • Maintain the documentation, runnable examples and error messages that partner integrators rely on. Your readers are developers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of production JavaScript and TypeScript development. The role is open to mid-level to senior candidates, and hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows counts as much as years of experience.
  • Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills and solid browser knowledge, including the DOM, the event loop, modern bundlers such as Vite, Rollup or esbuild, and module formats.
  • Daily use of AI coding agents beyond basic prompting. You can describe how you set up a project so agents work well in it, and you know when not to trust their output.
  • Proven experience consuming HTTP and real-time APIs, including browser-side authentication, CORS, and failure handling that degrades gracefully.
  • Enough CSS and layout skill to build a moderately complex widget from mocks without help. Design and UX ownership are outside this role.
  • Clear writing for developers, and the judgement to ask questions early instead of building the wrong thing well.
  • Nice to have: experience in sports betting, iGaming, trading or another real-time, high-frequency data field.
  • Nice to have: testing across unit, integration and browser automation, for example with Vitest or Playwright, including visual regression for widget rendering.
  • Nice to have: experience optimising performance in a third-party context, covering bundle size, lazy loading and the effect on a host page you do not control.
  • Nice to have: CI/CD and release automation experience.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.
