Description

The role defines infrastructure software requirements, turns ECU-level requirements into deployable Solution and POD requirements, and builds the automated tests that verify them. You will work with system engineers and software teams to keep solutions clear, testable, scalable and ready to deploy. Using AI and LLM tools to speed up design, sharpen requirements and test quality, and streamline workflows is a key advantage for this role.

You will set technical direction for infrastructure areas including Communications, Controller Safety, Cybersecurity, Data Management, Diagnostics, Programming and Moding.

Responsibilities

  • Split ECU-level requirements into clear, testable Solution and POD requirements.
  • Write Gherkin scenarios and build reusable test automation in C++ and Python.
  • Lead defect triage, root cause analysis and ongoing improvement across requirements, software and validation.
  • Raise traceability, quality and productivity through current tooling, CI/CD and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Coach engineers on writing requirements, automation, AUTOSAR, diagnostics and testing practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of software experience, including test automation for embedded or distributed systems.
  • Strong C++ and Python skills for test automation, tooling or framework development.
  • Working knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic or a similar embedded platform.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS and DoIP.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing methods and CI/CD.
  • Proven record of turning complex behavior into testable requirements and carrying issues to closure across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using AI or LLM tools to improve engineering efficiency, design quality or process flow.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in a related field.
  • Preferred: 7 to 10 years in embedded, infrastructure or automotive software, ideally in SDV or similarly scaled architectures.
  • Preferred: Experience with HIL systems, bench automation, vehicle testing, and service communication such as SOME/IP, DDS or REST.
  • Preferred: Experience extending automation frameworks, dashboards and metrics.
  • Preferred: Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
  • Preferred: Strong hands-on use of AI and LLM tools for requirements generation, test creation, debugging and faster development cycles.
