Senior SAP Datasphere Developer / Solution Architect

The company is a boutique business and IT consultancy specialized in Life Sciences, with more than 450 staff across 25 offices worldwide. It serves clients in pharma, healthcare and animal health.

The company focuses on S4HANA, data and cloud work, and new technologies.

This is a senior architect role in a complex SAP landscape. It centers on SAP Datasphere architecture, advanced data modeling, semantic layers and data integration, supporting enterprise analytics, reporting and business planning.

You will work with business stakeholders, data engineers and SAP technical teams to keep data management efficient and reliable, and to keep solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Shape the end-to-end SAP Datasphere architecture so it scales, performs well and fits the enterprise data strategy.
• Lead solution design and build of SAP Datasphere capabilities such as integration, transformation and virtualization.
• Build and maintain advanced data models, analytical datasets and semantic layers in SAP Datasphere.
• Design and tune data flows, views, analytical models and pipelines across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Connect SAP Datasphere with S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud and other enterprise data platforms.
• Define modeling standards, governance rules and good practice that keep work consistent and reusable.
• Give technical direction and architecture advice to development teams and stakeholders, including design reviews.
• Investigate complex technical faults, improve query speed and keep data quality and reliability high.
• Support solution testing, technical documentation, deployment and ongoing improvement work.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, covering solution architecture, development and data modeling.
• A track record of designing enterprise data architectures and delivering scalable analytics solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Datasphere Data Builder and Business Builder, analytical models and semantic layers.
• Experience with advanced modeling, transformation, data federation and replication.
• Solid grasp of SQL, SAP HANA Cloud and cloud data management.
• Experience connecting SAP Datasphere to S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud and other data sources.
• Good understanding of data governance, security, access management and performance tuning.
• Ability to turn complex business and analytics needs into technical architecture and data solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills, and comfort working across business and IT teams.
