Description

The company is a growth invention firm that helps ambitious brands grow faster, working where technology meets marketing.

Its 4,000+ specialists are split about evenly between tech and marketing, and the firm works in a partner-led way. The company is B Corp-certified.

The team is a mix of Tech Lead or Principal Software Engineer, CMS (AEM) Architect, AEM engineers, QA, and client stakeholders.

Success looks like client teams using what you build so work moves from request to approved asset in AEM with no workarounds, your Fusion scenarios and AEM code running reliably in production, teammates able to read and build on your code and configuration, you explaining how your builds behave and what they affect, and you taking on larger and messier problems over time.

Responsibilities

  • Join as a Senior Software Engineer (P2) focused on Workfront and AEM, helping client marketing and creative teams manage their work in one place.
  • As the backend developer, you build Adobe Workfront and Workfront Fusion solutions and also work in AEM backend code. Your work keeps requests, reviews and approvals flowing and links Workfront with AEM and the client's other tools.
  • You do not need full Adobe knowledge on day one. Sound engineering habits and genuine interest in how the Adobe pieces connect count for more.
  • Take a vague problem, ask the right questions, plan and estimate it, then build, test, launch and support it yourself.
  • Configure Workfront around how a client's teams really operate: templates, request queues, custom forms, approvals, proofing, access levels and reports.
  • Build durable Fusion integrations that connect Workfront to AEM, other Adobe products and third-party tools, with error handling that keeps production running.
  • Link Workfront and AEM Assets through linked folders, metadata mapping and asset workflows so approved work reaches the DAM automatically.
  • Write AEM backend code, including workflows, Sling Models, servlets, OSGi services and APIs that support the integrations and other AEM work.
  • Test against real use cases. When something fails, trace it through logs, Fusion execution history and API responses until the cause is clear.
  • Document decisions, write simple guides for users and admins, and act as the go-to Workfront contact for client teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years building backend systems or integrations, with some of it on business process or work management projects for organizations of 5,000+ employees.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Adobe Workfront project work, covering templates, custom forms, Workfront Fusion integrations and connecting Workfront to a DAM such as AEM Assets.
  • 1+ year of hands-on AEM backend development using Java, Sling, OSGi, Sling Models, servlets, workflows and Maven.
  • Adobe certified in Workfront and Workfront Fusion.
  • Proven work with REST and GraphQL APIs, JSON and authentication when connecting to external services.
  • Hands-on use of GenAI productivity tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code or Codex within your development workflow, with a drive to push their limits to speed up team delivery.
  • A practical grasp of core LLM concepts and the judgment to spot where AI solutions add real value.
  • Proven ability to turn a business process into a working solution and document it clearly. Examples are welcome.
  • Familiarity with Git best practices, pull requests, automated builds and testing.
  • Ability to take an ambiguous problem, research it on your own, read logs and debug.
  • Persistence to work through problems alone and trace them across Workfront, Fusion, AEM and the systems in between.
  • Exposure to Workfront Planning, Frame.io, Creative Cloud for Enterprise, Marketo or AEP.
  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, Edge Delivery Services, the Universal Editor, App Builder or Cloud Manager.
  • Experience delivering AEM websites or working on an AEM migration.
  • Adobe certification in AEM Sites, with AEM Assets as a plus.
  • Experience helping teams through change or running user training.
  • Easy to work with: clear communicator, open to direction, respectful when you push back, quick to say when you are stuck, and prefer simple solutions over overbuilding.
