Description

This senior role owns the regional product management for the assigned product lines, including product mix, product families, and decisions on which products to add, enhance, refine, develop, or retire.

You will drive market share and the company's revenue, growing sales and profit through channel sell-through work and marketing activity.

The role works closely with functional leads across several departments and sets the priorities for major customer meeting deliverables, so strong communication and collaboration are essential.

The goal is for resellers and end users to rank the product line as the best in the industry for value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability, and ease of use.

Responsibilities

  • Build a working knowledge of every part of the business, including supply chain, design, sell-in, in-store and online merchandising, distribution, and consumer marketing, to create lasting barriers to entry in a crowded market.
  • Plan and run selling and marketing activity that grows share and revenue across several sales channels.
  • Lead internal and external work with Sales, Global Product Management, Marketing, Design, Branding, and Demand Planning on pricing, positioning, placement, and sell-through.
  • Equip the sales team to execute in the field, helping them understand and deliver the company's vision and strategy to retail and commercial customers.
  • Own the sales and profitability goals for your assigned categories.
  • Coach, mentor, manage, and develop a group of product managers so category projects and NPI KPIs are delivered on time and in scope.
  • Set the weekly rhythm, agenda, and communication with regional and channel teams to support launches and keep them aligned.
  • Run regular business reviews, lead PM summits, and support regional sales line reviews so business unit initiatives are communicated and carried out.
  • Work with marketing to build, communicate, and execute go-to-market plans, product launches, product marketing, and messaging.
  • Own the Americas region P&L and balance sheet, meeting or beating budget and inventory targets while driving profitable growth.
  • Lead the preparation of major customer meeting deliverables, set priorities, and make sure deadlines are met.
  • Apply a deep understanding of mobility hardware and where it fits across the wider electronics landscape.

Requirements

  • Show a record of building business cases around consumer needs and products or solutions.
  • Show a record of producing strong consumer insights from research plans you led or played a major part in designing.
  • Bring the energy to motivate others around hard goals and objectives.
  • Have created and communicated strategies that led to significant business improvements.
  • Make sound decisions by balancing careful research with the need to move quickly.
  • Be a natural leader with an entrepreneurial streak and strong skills for working in a dynamic team.
  • Have a track record of launching consumer products successfully.
  • Hold a 4-year college degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Have 7+ years in a similar role or related work in consumer packaged goods or consumer electronics.
