Description

The role shapes the in-store visual identity of a brand by creating designs for physical spaces, store displays and printed materials.

You will work with marketing, retail and production teams so that designs are consistent and improve the customer experience in store.

Digital design work is a plus, since you may also make assets that match the in-store experience.

The company wants people who enjoy building customer experiences through design in both physical and digital settings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare print-ready files for packaging, brochures, in-store signage, point-of-sale displays and promotional items.
  • Develop large-format graphics, store window displays and environmental graphics that improve the in-store experience.
  • Work with channel marketing to design store activations, pop-up shops and immersive installations that encourage customer engagement.
  • Make sure every design follows brand guidelines while trying new, original visual ideas.
  • Write print specifications and coordinate with outside vendors, print houses and fabricators to secure accurate production, quality checks and on-time delivery.
  • Build prototypes, mock-ups and proofs for internal review, confirming designs meet both creative and technical needs.
  • Follow developments in graphic design, retail environments and experiential marketing, and apply useful techniques to store experiences.
  • Create assets for web, social media or digital store displays so the customer experience stays smooth across channels.
  • Juggle several design projects at once, meeting every deadline and balancing priorities in a fast-moving setting.
  • Support the company's affirmative action plan and make good-faith efforts to reach its goals and timetables.
  • Follow the company's health and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts or a closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of graphic design experience, mainly in print production and retail or experiential design.
  • A strong portfolio showing environmental graphics, in-store displays and/or experiential marketing work.
  • Expertise in print-ready files and a range of print materials and processes.
  • Skill with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Excellent eye for detail, layout, typography and colour theory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well across teams.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing production quality.
  • Ability to juggle competing deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work positively and effectively with staff at every level, plus customers, prospects and vendors.
  • Experience with 3D design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Digital design experience, with familiarity in web, social media or digital signage design, is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with high-profile, global brands is a plus.
