Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Description

Help shape the quality foundations of one of the UK's most ambitious aerospace and defence programmes, GCAP.

You will influence product integrity, improve quality performance across complex programmes, and make sure sound quality practices are built in from concept through to delivery.

The role is based at the Luton site, with travel to Edinburgh, Bristol and Southampton when required. You need to be onsite at least 3 days per week.

Permanent, hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and roll out quality plans, processes and assurance activities across the whole programme lifecycle.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CA) work to improve product and process performance.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams to proactively refine processes and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits, customer reviews and programme quality reporting.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Process Mapping and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Candidates below senior level are also considered if they have strong quality fundamentals.
• Security clearance: the role is subject to pre-employment screening under the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Further National Security Vetting (NSV) controls may apply, which could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC). Guidance is available at the company's site
