Software Integration & Test Engineer - Level 2/3 (AHT)

Description

The space sector of the company is hiring a Software Integration and Test (SIT) Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3, based in Redondo Beach, CA.

You would work in an integrated product team to design and build test plans and procedures that verify and validate software against its requirements.

The offer depends on obtaining final clearances and program access within a reasonable period set by the company. Staying employed requires keeping the clearance level and program access for the role.

Responsibilities

• Integrate software and analyze its requirements.
• Plan and carry out tests, and analyze software performance.
• Troubleshoot problems and coordinate their fixes.
• Write test procedure scripts in Perl, Python and Linux, using automated software test tools.
• Support test execution leads by running test walkthroughs.
• Share plans, status and out-briefs with IPT leads, team members and the customer.

Requirements

• Level 2: a bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 2 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a STEM field.
• Level 3: a bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 5 years of related experience; or a master's degree in a STEM field plus 3 years; or a PhD plus 1 year of related experience.
• Hold an active SCI clearance or an active TS clearance when you apply, and be able to obtain SCI within a reasonable period before the start date, as the company determines.
• Working knowledge of software integration and test principles and processes.
• Experience scripting tests in Perl, Python and Linux, and using automated test tools such as Eggplant, Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Experience with the Atlassian toolset, such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence.
• Preferred: experience working in an Agile environment.
• Preferred: experience with Formal Qualifying Campaigns and requirements verification.
• Preferred: experience in interface testing.
• Preferred: knowledge of space and ground domains.
• Preferred: ability to travel to field sites to support software installations.
• Preferred: ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent oral and written communication.

Conditions

Based in Redondo Beach, CA.

Travel is about 10% of the time.

A clearance is required before the start date.

Primary level salary range: $91,800.00 to $137,600.00.

Secondary level salary range: $114,000.00 to $171,000.00.

These ranges are a general guide. The final offer depends on the scope and responsibilities of the role, your experience, education and skills, and current market conditions.
