Description

The role is a Quality Assurance Coordinator who keeps work consistent, accurate and compliant across the Buried Services, EC and Utility Survey teams. You link day-to-day delivery with quality standards, covering both onsite and office work, and you help keep data integrity and reporting quality high while following industry rules and company procedures. Today this QA work is shared among several surveyors, which takes time away from their project output.

The company is an infrastructure consulting firm offering advisory, planning, design, engineering, program and construction management services across transportation, buildings, water, new energy and the environment. Its clients are public and private sector organisations. It is a Fortune 500 company, and its Professional Services business reported revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. The company has over 50,000 staff worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit outputs from the Buried Services, EC and Utility Survey teams for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Check that all outputs meet relevant industry standards, company procedures and client specifications.
  • Spot trends and repeated errors, and put corrective actions in place where needed.
  • Build, update and enforce QA processes and documentation standards across both teams.
  • Encourage consistent methods for capturing, processing and reporting data.
  • Help create and update templates, checklists and QA workflows.
  • Look for ways to streamline workflows and cut costs while raising quality.
  • Act as the main contact for quality matters between the Buried Services, EC and Utility Survey teams.
  • Keep teams aligned on deliverables and expectations through regular communication.
  • Advise on QA standards and best practice.
  • Run a regular schedule of site audits.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality assurance, ideally in utilities, surveying or engineering.
  • Desirable: a solid understanding of buried services, utility surveys or geospatial data.
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, drawings and reports.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with software and tools used in utility mapping and reporting.
  • Close work with field and office teams in the UK and overseas, including periodic reviews of live projects to check QA compliance.
  • You may be asked to run one-to-one, face-to-face training sessions, as set by the appointed Quality Assurance lead. In-person training may also come up.
  • Travel as reasonably needed to carry out the role.

Conditions

Hybrid working is available, from an office, a remote location or a client site.

All new hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at a company office as a condition of employment.

Applicants are considered on an equal opportunity basis, and information is handled confidentially under EEO guidelines. Disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria are offered an interview under the Disability Confident scheme.

Benefits

  • Access to a wide range of compensation, benefits and well-being programmes for you and your family.
  • Access to industry-leading technology and thinking.
  • Work on large, high-impact projects as part of a global, publicly traded firm.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
