Senior QA Engineer CUSS

Description

The company runs the CUSS platform for kiosks and Auto Bagdrops. It is an established product, and the company plans to grow it further.

As kiosks and Auto Bagdrops are installed at more airports worldwide, more Airline Applications have to work reliably on the platform. The company has certified about 120 Airline Applications so far.

This role owns quality assurance from start to finish for Airline Applications on the CUSS platform. The work is hands-on, on physical kiosk hardware, and checks how applications work with the platform, peripherals such as printers, scanners, payment devices and biometrics, and backend services.

You will work with the team on the certification process and on the business side of self-service, so testing results line up with what airlines and airports need.

Responsibilities

• Test Airline Applications end to end on the CUSS platform, covering kiosk hardware, platform components, peripherals and backend services.
• Read system, platform and application logs to find defects, troubleshoot, confirm fixes and help developers find root causes.
• Record test scenarios, results, defects and investigation findings so airline partners, engineers and implementation or support groups can use them.
• Work with developers, product engineers and airline technical teams to investigate problems, check integrations and get applications certified.
• Help improve the certification process by contributing to test automation, widening test coverage and keeping testing consistent across hardware and software.
• Keep testing practices continuous during handover to business-as-usual operations, check enhancements and document processes and results clearly.
• Understand Self-Service and CUSS business processes, including how kiosk and Auto Bagdrop workflows connect with airline systems, airport operations and wider the company platform services.
• Advise airline and internal teams on testing, expected platform behavior, known limits and possible improvements in integration and certification.
• Understand how certification links to airline operational needs, so you can prioritise issues, communicate clearly and align test outcomes with business goals.
• Follow industry standards, CUSS specifications, product changes and new technology affecting airline self-service and passenger processing.
• Represent QA in discussions with business stakeholders, working groups and cross-functional teams, and help shape quality expectations and platform best practices.
• Keep learning new business areas, especially those that affect application behavior on kiosks, hardware usage and end-to-end passenger self-service.
