Description

You will provide consulting to a financial services client account, helping the client reach its strategic business goals.

You will run office infrastructure construction projects on site and across the region, mainly MEP upgrades and installations in occupied offices within smart buildings, with a focus on building management system (BMS) automation controls.

You act as the owner's representative, overseeing projects from start to finish.

The role sits within the Project Management function.

The company is a global professional services firm with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, working across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources. Its capabilities include program, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions. It is majority-owned by a large commercial real estate services and investment firm, with partners holding a significant minority stake.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee every phase of several real estate projects: planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Work with clients to shape each project, covering scope, delivery resources, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control and risk.
  • Report project progress to the Project Management Director and other business leaders.
  • Mentor and coach other project managers so they build deep knowledge across most or all of the function.
  • Choose delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process, run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids and recommend resources to clients.
  • Keep all workstreams on schedule and push issues to resolution or further along.
  • Run regular meetings to review status on active and pending projects.
  • Work with the team to develop solutions and guide delivery through to completion.
  • Find and build better methods to meet individual and department goals.
  • Build deep expertise in your own field and solid knowledge of other areas across the function.
  • Drive customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multi-discipline teams, within functional policies that shape procedures and standards.
  • Help create new products, processes, standards and operating plans that support functional goals.
  • Set an example through your conduct, anticipate objections and win over senior and divergent stakeholders to a different view.

Requirements

  • You must be currently authorized to work in the United States, now and in the future, without visa sponsorship.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • If you lack a degree, a mix of experience and education will be considered.
  • PE, LEED AP, PMP and/or CCM certification is preferred.
  • Experience as owner's representative for a Class A financial or professional services client, plus infrastructure or MEP experience, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS controls, building automation and smart buildings is desired.
  • You need proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • You should know PM Web or similar project management software.
  • A solid record of working with senior leadership in a strategic role, and the ability to lead delivery resources on projects, is required.
  • You must handle a demanding setting while leading several projects or programs at different stages.
  • SOX control duties may be part of the role and must be followed where they apply.
