Description

The company is a mission-driven pioneer in industry cloud software, helping life sciences companies get therapies to patients sooner.

It is one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies on record, passed $3B in revenue last fiscal year, and still has plenty of room to grow.

Since 2021 it has been a public benefit corporation, which requires it to weigh the interests of customers, employees, society and investors.

The role sits on the Implementation and Professional Services team, which builds an AI-powered engagement platform for pharma brands: conversational virtual navigators, personalized content journeys and omnichannel tools that give patients and HCPs accurate answers in real time.

You will apply pharma marketing editorial experience in a fast-moving SaaS setting, at the centre of how the industry is rethinking patient and HCP engagement.

Hiring steps: apply with your resume. Within 3 days you will receive a link to a personality assessment run by a third party. After you finish it, the team reviews your full application and emails a decision. If you move on, you meet the hiring manager, complete a practical case exercise, and hold a final conversation with the group's Senior Leader. The manager then sends a final decision once all interviews are done.

Responsibilities

  • You will own the quality of every deliverable, from client-facing designs and content matrices through PRC submission to pre-launch QA of the live tool.
  • Review tool designs and the content library and matrix for accuracy, consistency and compliance before they reach client review.
  • Steer each deliverable through client review and PRC submission, with a careful editorial check in every round.
  • Test the built tool before launch against PRC-approved materials, covering content accuracy and how each function works.
  • Write, keep current and share the quality processes, checklists and best practices the medical editors follow.
  • Lead a team of contractor medical editors, assigning, coordinating and delegating review and QA work across active projects.
  • Work with PMs, copywriters, developers, CSMs and others across the implementation and customer success groups so each project is delivered successfully.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences, English, journalism, communications or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of medical or scientific editing, ideally at a life sciences marketing agency, medical communications agency or pharma company, including editing pharma brand marketing or patient or HCP digital content.
  • A proven record of moving content through MLR or PRC review and working through client and reviewer feedback over several submission rounds.
  • Sharp attention to detail, with fact-checking, proofreading and reference and citation verification skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining editorial processes and QA procedures.
  • Strong project management, handling many accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or managing editorial staff or contractors, and coordinating and delegating work across a team.
  • Experience with tools for routing digital files, controlling documents or managing content, such as Veeva Vault, Ziflow or SharePoint.
  • A scientific research background, such as a PhD or postdoctoral work in a life sciences field, with a move into medical writing, editing or communications.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel or digital patient and HCP engagement tools.
  • People management experience leading a team of editors or contractors.
