Description

The company designs, builds and runs an imaging satellite fleet larger than any before it.

Its satellite data reaches commercial, environmental and humanitarian customers through a cloud platform, and the company covers both the space hardware and the data products.

Customers use the data to build new technologies, grow revenue, support research and tackle large global problems.

The company controls hardware design, manufacturing, data processing and software, so the office mixes specialists from many fields.

The company is global, with staff working remotely and offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and the Netherlands.

This role extends the platform to customers who need dedicated, in-region or on-premises instances, and drives its productization for isolated, air-gapped and hybrid environments.

The role sits between high-touch enterprise delivery and scalable core engineering, balancing customer empathy with product discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Run in-depth discovery with high-security enterprise and government stakeholders, and use the findings to set firm, defensible product priorities.
  • Design a phased customer journey covering operating models, readiness criteria and governance for initial installation, joint-operations training, and handover to fully autonomous, customer-run environments with zero or limited vendor access.
  • Turn customer operational and security needs into precise technical specifications for Core Infrastructure and Engineering, spotting shared needs that clients phrase differently so the company avoids duplicate work.
  • Create standard building blocks so the core platform can extend safely into edge and air-gapped settings without custom variants for each deployment.
  • Set clear limits on what belongs in the core platform and what may be customized.
  • Build hooks and interfaces so Professional Services and integration partners can write custom extensions without changing core code.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in technical product management on enterprise platforms, hybrid cloud deployments or complex infrastructure products.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to meet enterprise or government clients, follow complex operational workflows and find the root problem behind differing terms.
  • Track record productizing cloud-native software for customer-managed infrastructure, enterprise VPCs or air-gapped data centers.
  • Conceptual understanding of enterprise hybrid patterns such as AWS Outposts, Azure Stack, Kubernetes-based distributions like Red Hat OpenShift, or infrastructure automation tools like HashiCorp Terraform and Vault.
  • Experience drawing clear lines between core roadmap items and custom work delivered by Professional Services.
  • Detail focus for mapping complex operational transitions, training milestones and access handoffs.
  • Stand out: prior work with European sovereign cloud frameworks, regional data residency rules or EU defense and government compliance standards.

Conditions

Full-time hybrid role based in the Berlin, Haarlem or Ljubljana office, with 3 days per week in the office.

Expected starting gross salary range for the Netherlands: €75.000 - €93.700 EUR.

Placement within the range depends on objective, gender-neutral factors such as skills, qualifications and professional experience.

The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or equity.

Applications close at 23:45 CET on the date stated in the posting, are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the role may close earlier once enough suitable applications arrive.

San Francisco applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered under the Fair Chance Ordinance.

Benefits

  • Benefits depend on employment type and location, under applicable law or company policy.
  • Paid time off covering vacation, holidays and company-wide days off.
  • Employee wellness program.
  • Home office reimbursement.
  • Monthly phone and internet reimbursement.
  • Tuition reimbursement and access to LinkedIn Learning.
  • Equity.
  • Paid volunteering time off.
