Description

Construction, engineering and other project-driven industries depend heavily on people, skills and operational resources. Organisations have to balance productivity, compliance, utilisation and cost, and make sure the right resources are in place at the right time.

The company is hiring a senior product manager to help shape strategy, discovery and delivery for its operational workforce and resource management products. These serve Construction & Engineering and nearby industries.

You will take product initiatives from early discovery through to adoption. That means working with customers, engineers, designers and industry experts to test opportunities, build business cases and deliver results that can be measured.

The role is based in the United Kingdom but covers North America, Europe and APMJA. You will work with customers, partners and internal teams to find opportunities, confirm needs and deliver solutions that add measurable business value.

The role calls for strong product leadership and strategic thinking, along with interest in applying AI, automation and emerging technologies to complex workforce and operational problems.

Responsibilities

  • Help set product strategy and shape roadmaps for assigned product areas and investments.
  • Turn customer needs, market trends and industry insight into focused investment decisions.
  • Weigh customer value, commercial opportunity and the ongoing evolution of the platform against one another.
  • Deliver measurable results for customers and the business.
  • Talk directly with customers to learn their challenges, priorities and desired outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners and industry experts.
  • Test opportunities before any investment is approved.
  • Set up design partners and lighthouse customers to support discovery and adoption.
  • Convert customer problems into product outcomes, experiences and success measures.
  • Lead prototyping, validation and repeated rounds of discovery.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams.
  • Use AI to speed up discovery, innovation and product definition.
  • Build investment cases based on evidence.
  • Take initiatives from discovery through to adoption.
  • Support positioning, launch and customer engagement.
  • Track success through adoption, customer results and business impact.
  • Promote an AI-first approach, looking for ways automation, intelligence and agentic experiences can change workforce-heavy industries.
  • Find ways to simplify work with intelligent automation.
  • Investigate new interaction models and user experiences.
  • Make sure AI-enabled features deliver outcomes that are trusted and measurable.
  • Work with customers to shape the next generation of workforce experiences on the company Cloud.

Requirements

  • Product management experience delivering SaaS, workforce management, resource management, field service or enterprise software.
  • Experience helping shape product strategy, roadmaps, discovery, delivery and adoption.
  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, time and attendance, resource management, labour compliance, payroll integration or workforce analytics.
  • An understanding of operationally intensive industries such as Construction & Engineering, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Telecommunications or Field Service.
  • Experience working with customers around the world.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams.
  • Fluent English and a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Nice to have: experience with workforce management, resource planning, scheduling, payroll, HCM or operational workforce solutions.
  • Nice to have: experience in construction, engineering, energy, utilities, manufacturing or other project-centric industries.
  • Nice to have: an understanding of workforce productivity, compliance, payroll and workforce analytics.
  • Nice to have: experience building AI-enabled enterprise software products.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AI, automation and agentic experiences.
  • Nice to have: experience modernising enterprise SaaS products.
  • Nice to have: exposure to business case development, pricing, monetisation or product P&L ownership.
  • Nice to have: experience setting up design partner or customer co-innovation programmes.
  • Nice to have: a degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, computer science or a related field.

Conditions

Hybrid working is available, and you can choose the arrangement that suits you best.

Before applying, you need recent, hands-on experience owning a workforce, resource or crew scheduling product, such as shift scheduling, time and attendance, capacity planning or absence management, working as a genuine Product Manager or Product Owner. Business Analyst, Programme Manager or delivery roles working to someone else's requirements do not count.

If your closest match to this area was a short stint, or was more than a few years ago, this role is probably not a good fit.

The company is equal-opportunity and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Work in a global, diverse team with a commitment to sustainability.
