Description

The company makes the company, a Postgres development platform with a full backend: database, auth, storage, edge functions, realtime, and vector search. The services are tightly integrated and built to scale.

This role is for a Product Manager on the Product Team, focused on administration and governance. The goal is to make the company the default place companies start building internal software.

Teams often adopt the company bottom up: one person has an idea, spins up a project, and ships something useful. The next step is turning that into a single company-wide platform where anyone can build, and where IT can see what is running, who owns it, and what it costs.

You will shape how companies run the company as their internal development platform, one that IT approves and employees find easy to use. People and the agents they work with should be able to start building without waiting on infrastructure, while platform, IT, and security teams get the controls they need to approve it. The approved route should be the simplest route, from a first experiment to a production app, with the necessary controls built in.

The company has about 400 team members across 60+ countries, speaking 20+ languages. It has raised over $1B, including a $500M Series F, and has more than 540,000 community members. The team is fully remote and open-source-first, and it ships in public.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for internal innovation, from a company's first IT-approved rollout through adoption across teams and business units.
  • Make getting started self-service, whether someone creates a project directly, through an internal developer portal, or via an agent, so builders get access and infrastructure without filing a ticket per project.
  • Turn scattered usage into one manageable company-wide platform. Give each company a single view of everything it runs on the company, and define ownership, delegated access, and boundaries so teams can work independently as usage grows.
  • Work closely with platform, IT, security, and finance to learn what approving and maintaining the company requires. Turn their needs into practical identity, policy, audit, and spend controls that do not slow builders down.
  • Define the path from experiment to production, covering project ownership, access, and the guardrails that tighten as an application becomes business-critical.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to make early customer rollouts repeatable instead of building a custom integration for each company.
  • Set success metrics, instrument them end to end, and use the data to decide what to build next, from time to first project and self-service adoption through production usage and company-wide expansion.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience on developer tools, infrastructure, or internal developer platforms.
  • A record of building self-service products that developers like and that platform or IT teams trust. You understand both the person shipping an app and the team that runs it.
  • Ability to reason about identity, permissions, organization boundaries, and usage attribution, and to turn them into workflows people can understand.
  • A clear point of view on how agents change who can build software inside a company, and on what an internal development platform needs to support that.
  • Experience with controlled experiments and data analysis, and the ability to link easier adoption to sustained product use.
  • A bias toward speed: you would rather ship, learn, and iterate than polish a spec.
  • You form opinions by using the product yourself, from creating a project to configuring the policies around it.
  • You use AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and feedback synthesis so you can spend your time on judgment calls.
  • You work asynchronously by default and make decisions in writing on a fully remote team.
