Description

Construction, engineering and other project-based industries depend heavily on people, skills and operational resources. Firms in these sectors must weigh productivity, compliance, utilisation and cost against having the right resources ready when needed.

The role covers strategy, discovery and delivery of workforce and resource management products for Construction & Engineering and adjacent industries.

You will take product initiatives from early discovery through to adoption, working with customers, engineering, design and industry experts to test opportunities, build business cases and deliver measurable results.

The company is based in the UK and has a remit covering North America, Europe and APMJA. You will work with customers, partners and internal teams to find opportunities and build solutions with clear business value.

The company has revenue in the billion-dollar range and more than 7000 employees on every continent. Its AI technology underpins its enterprise software.

The role calls for strong product leadership, strategic thinking and enthusiasm for applying AI, automation and emerging technologies to complex workforce and operational problems.

Responsibilities

  • Shape product strategy and roadmaps for your assigned product areas and investments.
  • Turn customer needs, market trends and industry insight into focused investment choices.
  • Weigh customer value, commercial opportunity and platform evolution against one another.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Talk directly with customers to learn their challenges, priorities and desired results.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers, partners and industry experts.
  • Test opportunities before any investment decision is made.
  • Set up design partners and lighthouse customers to support discovery and adoption.
  • Convert customer problems into product outcomes, experiences and success measures.
  • Lead prototyping, validation and repeated discovery cycles.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design colleagues on the product.
  • Use AI to speed up discovery, innovation and product definition.
  • Prepare evidence-based investment cases.
  • Drive initiatives from discovery through to adoption.
  • Help with positioning, launch and customer engagement.
  • Track success through adoption, customer results and business impact.
  • Explore how automation, intelligence and agentic experiences can change workforce-heavy industries.
  • Find ways to simplify work with intelligent automation.
  • Investigate new interaction models and user experiences.
  • Make sure AI-enabled features deliver outcomes that are trusted and measurable.
  • Work with customers to design the next generation of workforce experiences on the company's cloud platform.

Requirements

  • Before you apply: you need recent, hands-on experience owning a workforce, resource or crew scheduling product (such as shift scheduling, time and attendance, capacity planning or absence management) as a Product Manager or Product Owner. Business Analyst, Programme Manager or delivery lead roles working to someone else's requirements do not count.
  • If your closest match was a short stint, or was more than a few years ago, this role is likely not a fit.
  • You have managed products in SaaS, workforce management, field service or enterprise software.
  • You have contributed to product strategy, roadmaps, discovery, delivery and adoption.
  • You have worked with workforce planning, scheduling, time and attendance, resource management, labour compliance, payroll integration or workforce analytics.
  • You understand operationally intensive sectors such as Construction & Engineering, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Telecommunications or Field Service.
  • You have worked with customers across several regions.
  • You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders well and engage customers effectively.
  • You have worked closely with engineering and design teams.
  • You speak fluent English and are willing to travel internationally.
  • You put customers first and focus on problems that matter.
  • You care more about outcomes than about shipping features.
  • You balance customer value with business growth and think commercially.
  • You understand operational and project-driven organisations.
  • You are eager to use AI and new technology.
  • You work well across product, engineering, design and go-to-market teams.
  • You are comfortable discussing data, integrations, platforms and AI.
  • You handle ambiguity and bring clarity to hard challenges.
  • You stay hands-on in discovery, validation and customer conversations.
  • You help raise the standard of product management around you.
  • Desirable: past work in workforce management, resource planning, scheduling, payroll, HCM or operational workforce software.
  • Desirable: background in construction, engineering, energy, utilities, manufacturing or other project-centric industries.
  • Desirable: understanding of workforce productivity, compliance, payroll and workforce analytics.
  • Desirable: experience building AI-enabled enterprise software.
  • Desirable: familiarity with AI, automation and agentic experiences.
  • Desirable: experience modernising enterprise SaaS products.
  • Desirable: exposure to business cases, pricing, monetisation or product P&L ownership.
  • Desirable: experience setting up design partner or customer co-innovation programmes.
  • Desirable: a degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, computer science or a related field.
