Description

The company runs a large platform for culture and live entertainment, reaching over 300 million people a month across more than 55 countries, and provides data and technology that help event creators grow their events.

The company grows both by acquisition and organically, and expects to bring more companies into the group over the next few years. Each acquired company comes with its own product, codebase and way of working.

The role makes sure this growth adds up to one platform rather than fragmented products. You will assess an acquired company's stack, separate what is genuinely differentiated from what is redundant, and lead the decisions that turn two products into one stronger product.

The goal is to connect the group's companies on one shared platform, so that what one company builds can serve all of them and each new company gets the group's scale from day one.

You will shape how the group scales as a platform. This covers the vision and architecture for shared capabilities, the playbook that gets each new company running on the platform, and hands-on work to make each integration succeed. You will work across products, markets and teams in the whole group, close to leadership decisions on future direction.

This is a senior individual contributor role.

The engineering team builds, develops, improves and maintains all of the company's services, including the iOS and Android apps and the website.

Location: Madrid. Only candidates already based in Madrid or willing to relocate will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Set the product vision and strategy for the group platform. Decide which capabilities, such as payments, invoicing, seating maps, access control, box office and point of sale, should become shared group services, and work with engineering to make them ready for any group company to integrate.
  • Build and own the integration playbook: the standard, prioritized path that every acquired company follows to run on the group's shared services.
  • Review each acquired product feature by feature, deliver a keep, kill or merge plan, and work with engineering leads on API, data model and migration decisions.
  • Lead partner and customer migrations from start to finish, coordinating with business development, account management, operations and support.
  • Act as the link between acquired teams and the product and engineering organization during the first 6 to 12 months, and report integration progress to leadership.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on platform or technical products.
  • Professional English.
  • Strong technical fluency: comfortable with architecture, APIs and data models, and with trade-offs such as consolidation, migration and build versus reuse.
  • Proven experience designing a shared-services strategy and leading post-acquisition or platform integration, including keep, kill or merge decisions.
  • Strong program management in ambiguous, cross-team settings that involve legacy systems.
  • Clear communicator and analytical thinker who takes high ownership and works with urgency.
  • Preferred: product management in a company that grew through acquisitions, ideally with M&A due diligence experience.
  • Preferred: domain knowledge in ticketing, live entertainment or commerce, such as payments, access control, box office or seating.
  • Preferred: prior hands-on experience as a backend or platform engineer.
  • Preferred: a record of earning the trust of acquired teams and managing change.
  • Preferred: experience defining integration metrics and mentoring other product managers.
