Description

This senior role sits on the product data team and supports product and growth decisions across the company.

You will work in the Berlin and New York City offices as part of a global team.

Using product usage and customer data, you will solve hard business problems to improve digital experiences and keep customers coming back. Your findings will shape UX design, product development, and the customer journey. You will also build polished dashboards and reports for senior executives on key product and growth work.

The company is actively hiring for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product, engineering, and UX leads across the senior product group to set strategy and build a habit of evidence-based decisions.
  • Gather requirements with cross-functional partners, define project goals, and run data projects from planning through delivery.
  • Plan, build, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure how features affect the product.
  • Create automated reports and dashboards so people across the company can access data on their own.
  • Design KPI trees and measurement frameworks, and track performance across web and app to find ways to improve and grow the product.
  • Use AI and automation to speed up analysis, reporting, and insight work.
  • Explain complex data and statistical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences so they can make decisions.
  • Review work from several teams as a technical expert and help raise the quality of their output.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • Bring expert-level skill with GA4 or Snowplow, including advanced configuration and custom event tracking, and experience with Mixpanel or Amplitude.
  • Advanced BigQuery skills are required: complex SQL, query optimization, data modeling, and work with large datasets.
  • Advanced Python for data analysis, automation, and building analytical tools, including pandas and numpy.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • A proven record of using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to boost your and your team's productivity in daily analytical work.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Data Studio is required.
  • A deep grasp of product analytics methods, including cookie and event tracking, user behavior analysis, and event experiment design.
  • Strong command of descriptive and inferential statistics is required.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or other modern data stack tools is preferred.
  • Prior experience at product-led or consumer-facing technology companies is required.
  • At least 5 years analyzing complex data in a business setting, with at least 3 of those years in product or web and app analytics.
  • You can work independently and take an ambiguous problem through to practical recommendations.
