Description

The company builds Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure. Its container and OpenStack platforms have long run critical workloads for large, heavily regulated organisations, and those customers now need infrastructure for agentic AI and inference workloads, which are growing fast.

This is a pre-sales role covering French-speaking Europe. You will work with enterprise customers in banking, insurance, telecom, government and pharma, where the customer's platform and security teams take part in technical decisions and your credibility determines whether they trust you.

The work is production enterprise infrastructure rather than experimental AI. It is architecture and proof of concept work, not support. Account teams work alongside you, but the technical relationship is yours to build, and you will collaborate with platform engineering teams and AI practitioners on scalable AI workloads, developer platforms and Kubernetes infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud setups.

Responsibilities

  • Be the adviser that CTOs, platform teams and infrastructure leaders go to for a direct answer, not only the person who runs the demo.
  • Design solutions across the container, OpenStack and enterprise AI offerings that fit a customer's regulatory, operational and organisational constraints.
  • Run proofs of concept under real conditions: deploy the platform, prototype AI workloads, debug live and show what day-to-day operation looks like.
  • Explain infrastructure in terms that a CIO and a platform engineer can each act on, whether in a boardroom, a workshop or on a whiteboard.
  • Keep technical continuity across discovery, proof of concept and expansion, especially in regulated accounts.
  • Bring the same credibility to new business in regulated verticals where the AI infrastructure discussion is only starting.
  • Feed field insight into product and go-to-market work as the enterprise AI infrastructure offering develops.

Requirements

  • Experience with cloud native platforms such as Kubernetes, containers, OpenStack and platform engineering, gained as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer or cloud architect before moving into customer-facing work.
  • Interest in AI infrastructure such as GPU orchestration, inference and model serving, already pursued without waiting to be asked.
  • A platform view that connects compute, networking, storage, inference and governance into one architecture.
  • Ability to deploy what you sell: stand up clusters, run live demos, build proofs of concept and fix problems yourself in front of a customer.
  • Experience managing accounts in high-scrutiny environments, with an understanding that technical trust drives the sale.
  • Track record as a technical evangelist through conference talks, open-source contributions, technical writing or demo building.
  • Most important: a proven record of leading technical evaluations that became signed deals, and the ability to explain how you achieved it.
  • Equally important: proven technical authority in regulated enterprises, where platform and security review often matter as much as procurement. The role includes relationship development and technical account management as well as architecture.
  • 12 years combined experience in infrastructure engineering and in solutions architecture or sales engineering.
  • 5+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture or technical consulting in France or another French-speaking European country.
  • Hands-on experience designing or running Kubernetes and/or OpenStack systems in production.
  • Track record supporting enterprise sales cycles for infrastructure or cloud platforms.
  • Strongly preferred: experience managing accounts in regulated industries such as banking and financial services, telecom, government, or pharma and manufacturing.

Conditions

Remote, based in Europe, covering the French-speaking areas.

Base salary depends on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, the base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance and geographic location.

The company may use automated decision-making for some employment decisions; opting out for evaluation and review decisions for this role is requested, and you may appeal any ADMT decision.

Benefits

  • Be part of a long-established Silicon Valley company in cloud infrastructure.
  • Work alongside talented colleagues helping Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers adopt next-generation cloud technology.
  • Take part in open-source innovation.
  • Join a young company that values openness, collaboration, risk-taking and continuous growth.
  • Opportunities for training and career development.
  • Go to conferences and take part in working groups.
  • Company outings, happy hours, hackathons and tech talks.
  • Competitive compensation and a strong benefits plan.
