Description

The company's dermatology franchise is hiring an analytical senior manager for the two new launches of RINVOQ, in vitiligo and alopecia areata.

RINVOQ is a JAK inhibitor already used across several immunology indications, and it is now entering these two dermatological conditions, where patient need is still largely unmet.

The role is about using data to speed early uptake, make investment choices sharper and grow both launches.

Responsibilities

  • Examine physician, patient, account and competitor data at national and sub-national levels to follow early launch results, uptake and market shifts in vitiligo and alopecia areata, and to spot growth openings and blockers.
  • Lead the launch learning work: study patient paths, new-to-brand and switching behavior, treatment patterns, persistence and competitor moves across both indications, then turn findings into practical insights and tactical changes.
  • Build evidence-based promotional investment strategies and guide spending decisions with marketing mix and business optimization analysis, aiming for strong results and growth across both launches.
  • Set near-term launch KPIs and longer-term ROI measures, run ongoing performance reporting, and use the results to recommend changes to personal and non-personal promotion.
  • Provide analytical input to the annual plan, long-range plan and monthly estimates, keep assumptions aligned with actual launch performance, and act as the main link to Forecasting.
  • Explain sub-national performance drivers, including differences in dermatologist targeting and customer response between the two indications, and cross-brand effects across the dermatology and RINVOQ portfolio by channel and customer.
  • Use advanced analytic models that address key problems while balancing business criteria such as cost, risk and impact with technical criteria such as reliability, validity and predictability.
  • Run fast-moving ad-hoc analyses, spot the key product performance questions that shape strategic and tactical decisions and brand planning, and bring in several stakeholder views.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to deliver joint analytics that combine each function's contribution.
  • Manage contractors and external suppliers to make better use of advanced modeling and analytic methods and to get full value from available data.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required; a concentration in marketing, sales or quantitative analysis is preferred, and an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing data is required, including using that data to build business plans and strategies.
  • Experience in the pharma or biotech industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, sound business judgment and creative problem solving.
  • Current analytics and machine learning methods, with deep hands-on skill in the tools used.
  • Advanced experience with third-party pharma data such as IQVIA and SHS sales data (APLD, DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA) and specialty pharmacy data is a plus.
  • Experience in one or more analytic areas, such as promotion optimization, digital, or launch support, is a plus.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced agility, project management and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced vendor management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across a matrixed organization.
  • High motivation, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude under tight timelines.
