Drug Product Operations Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a Drug Product Operations Engineer at its Mannorhamilton Road site in Sligo.

The company discovers and delivers medicines in immunology, oncology and neuroscience, and also runs an aesthetics portfolio.

The role produces drug product to meet site needs while meeting all relevant compliance requirements.

You will help run safe, compliant operations in the Drug Product area and a second product manufacturing area, and help deliver continuous improvement work and root cause and corrective/preventative action decisions during investigations.

Responsibilities

• Find and push forward continuous improvement ideas and operational excellence gains, using production performance tracking and monitoring.
• Help build lean and continuous improvement skills across the manufacturing organization.
• Take part in pre-campaign planning for drug products and APIs, review lessons from earlier campaigns with operations staff, and support post-campaign work.
• Lead and support root cause analyses and choose corrective and preventative actions for investigations.
• Follow up on and close operations-related CAPAs, safety actions and compliance suggestions.
• Make changes to operating SOPs when needed.
• May stand in for the Drug Product and second area operations leads on certain tasks, depending on your experience and competence.
• May represent operations in introducing and running NPI projects.
• Help identify, implement and carry out key manufacturing and site strategies.
• Follow and support all EHS&E standards, procedures and policies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
• A 3rd level qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
