Description

The role covers marketing planning, budget management and marketing effectiveness for Spain and Portugal, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and sitting within the marketing leadership team.

You will turn global and Western Europe priorities into local plans that make commercial sense, working with Marketing and Finance to link consumer, shopper and market insight to investment decisions.

You will track performance and recommend action when results drift off course.

The Iberia Marketing team runs locally relevant programmes grounded in consumer, shopper and commercial understanding and works across Brand Marketing, Digital Media, Brand Relations, Trade Marketing and Finance.

The team is strengthening integrated planning across Spain and Portugal, and you will help build marketing effectiveness and consumer insight into investment discussions with the Head of Marketing, leadership team, Finance, Western Europe peers, insight specialists, the Marketing Effectiveness team and external agencies.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and the company may amend or withdraw the role at any time, including before the advertised closing date.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the marketing input to Iberia's annual strategy, pulling insights and priorities into one coherent plan that fits business goals and the Western Europe direction.
  • Manage marketing budgets through the year, moving investment toward strategic priorities and business performance so resources have the greatest effect.
  • Balance brand-building goals, commercial targets and budget limits, and recommend how to close gaps against targets.
  • Turn complex performance data and effectiveness findings into practical investment choices and clear stakeholder narratives.
  • Improve planning tools, data quality and working methods, and build shared ownership of performance and continuous learning.
  • Create transparent budgets, reliable planning routines and timely performance reviews that lead to decisions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience coordinating planning cycles, tracking spend and forecasts, investigating variances, and supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Comfortable with figures and complex datasets: you check data accuracy, spot trends and variances, interpret marketing, consumer, shopper and commercial data, assess effectiveness and turn findings into actions.
  • Advanced Excel, strong PowerPoint, and confidence with reporting and planning systems to produce accurate analysis and decision-ready presentations.
  • Able to build strong working relationships across Marketing, Finance and regional teams.
  • Able to link analysis to business priorities, tell a clear story and present practical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Able to focus on the highest-impact priorities, make trade-offs, anticipate risks, keep attention to detail and deliver reliably under pressure.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred: experience with marketing mix modelling, campaign evaluation, or consumer and shopper research to guide media and marketing investment.
  • Preferred: experience coordinating integrated marketing plans across several markets, aligning local priorities with regional direction.
