Description

This regional leadership role works alongside the Cardiac Sales Director for the US, turning global cardiac procedure and product plans into plans, programs and tools that are ready for market.

You also act as the US implementation partner to the VP, US Cardiac, bringing global programs, training processes and global KOL development into markets with different customer needs, operating models and maturity levels.

You work with the Cardiac Sales Director and the VP of Cardiac to adapt global programs and content, support training and KOL work, track performance and improve quality and matrix efficiency. Commercial priorities and market decisions stay with the US VP of Marketing and the Global Cardiac Vice President. Your job is to help them execute faster.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Cardiac Sales Directors and the VP, Cardiac shape and run cardiac procedure strategy, using market data, customer needs, competitors, clinical pathways and commercial goals.
  • Turn global portfolio, launch, lifecycle and procedure plans into focused roadmaps, priorities and activation plans.
  • Work across sales, clinical, capital, key accounts, customer training, marketing, market access, regulatory and enabling teams so launches are ready and well sequenced.
  • Spot adoption barriers, unmet needs and growth openings, and turn them into recommendations and action plans.
  • Give global teams structured feedback on US and Canada requirements, customer needs, evidence gaps, positioning and future portfolio ideas.
  • Adapt cardiac marketing programs, value propositions, messages, content, media and field tools to US marketing standards, keeping brand, clinical, regulatory and legal requirements intact.
  • Lead the US Cardiac marketing manager directly and plan growth of the clinical marketing team to match market growth.
  • Build integrated market development plans covering segmentation, account activation, peer education, society engagement, digital channels and stakeholder awareness.
  • Help teams create lasting programs with surgeons, care teams, hospital leaders, KOLs, training centers and reference sites.
  • Make sure content and media plans rest on insight, suit each audience, can be reused, and match the customer journey and sales needs.
  • Capture effective practices, scale them, and share US learnings with regional marketing leaders, the VP Global Cardiac and other global partners.
  • Support the planning rhythm: annual plans, quarterly business reviews, initiative tracking and performance reporting.
  • Set leading and lagging indicators for program impact, adoption, launch readiness, content use and return on investment.
  • Work with FSO to build dashboards and decision forums that show progress, clear barriers, stop low-value work and scale what works.
  • Keep initiative tracking clear on owners, milestones, dependencies, risks and expected results.
  • Support budget planning, tracking and forecasting for cardiac market development and marketing, with the Sales Directors, VP US Marketing and VP Global Cardiac.
  • Design scalable processes, standards and ways of working that raise quality, speed, consistency and accountability.
  • Define handoffs between global, regional and local teams to cut duplication, spread best practice and improve matrix efficiency.
  • Set quality checks for plans, programs, content, metrics and launch materials so they are compliant, decision-ready and usable.
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving and clear the obstacles that slow field work or reduce customer impact.
  • Encourage disciplined experimentation and continuous improvement based on data and field feedback.
  • Serve as the US contact for the VP Global Cardiac on global society initiatives, programs, training curricula and global KOL development.
  • Use synergies with the US Thoracic Marketing team to make the most of account, society meeting and marketing opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Cardiac Sales Directors in each market on growth priorities, programs and training, leaving commercial decisions with the Sales Directors and VP/General Managers.
  • Partner with US commercial teams to align them through influence and collaboration.
  • Report progress, insights and performance clearly to the Cardiac Sales Directors, the VPs/GM US and the VP Global Cardiac.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven record of turning global strategy into market-specific cardiac commercial plans, measuring execution and scaling best practice across several regions.
  • Hands-on experience with procedure development, product launch and lifecycle management, customer segmentation, integrated marketing and commercial planning.
  • Strong business and financial judgment, including budget tracking, forecasting support and performance management.
  • Track record of leading through influence across functions and levels in a complex matrix.
  • Strong analytics: defining metrics, leading operating reviews, interpreting results and turning them into decisions.
  • Strong process design, program management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills for clinical, technical, financial and commercial audiences.
  • Cardiac surgery, cardiovascular, robotic-assisted surgery or related clinical-commercial experience strongly preferred.
