Senior Frontend Engineer - Send Convenience

Description

The team's goal is to let people pay for anything, anywhere, through the company's platform.

The team is building the experience behind that: sending money to family abroad, plus paying rent, utility bills and taxes, so customers can depend on the account for everyday life across borders.

The product reaches 15 million customers each month, so each step you remove or interaction you improve has a large effect.

You would be the team's main web developer, free to question a user journey, suggest a better one and build it. You will work with product, design and engineering colleagues in Tallinn and London to define what good looks like and deliver it.

Responsibilities

• Build better ways to pay bills, from the UK to Australia to Brazil, by turning local payment methods into flows that feel familiar.
• Simplify the send money flow by removing needless steps, repeated input and confusing choices.
• Help shape the product from the start by working with product, design and research to learn about customer problems, test ideas and choose what to build.
• Own features from launch onward: make technical decisions, ship improvements, measure their impact and keep them reliable in production.
• Raise the bar for web quality by building fast, accessible interfaces with considered interactions and clear error recovery, and by sharing better engineering practices with the team and the wider web community.

Requirements

• The company accepts that few candidates meet every requirement and supports learning on the job, so apply if you meet some of them and want to grow.
• You have shipped customer-facing web products at scale and can explain the decisions behind them and the results they produced.
• You have strong JavaScript and browser knowledge and have built production applications with React or a similar framework.
• You have a good eye for UX and detail, notice when an interaction is wrong, understand why, and act to fix it.
• You plan technical work with the long term in mind, write clear, testable and maintainable code, and split complex problems into useful releases.
• You think like a product engineer, asking why, questioning assumptions and using customer feedback and data to guide choices.
• You take ownership, work well on your own, explain trade-offs clearly and collaborate across teams to get work done.
• You use AI daily to think, check your reasoning and work faster, and you are fully accountable for what you ship.
• Bonus: experience with server-side rendering and backend development.
• Relocation support is not offered, so only candidates already based locally will be considered. For local candidates, transfer of an existing visa sponsorship is supported.

Conditions

The starting salary is €5,750 to €7,083.33 gross per month, plus RSUs.
