Description

The Markets business is growing quickly, and the company is looking for an Enterprise Architect to help shape its future target architecture. You will apply modern technology to real business problems and work closely with teams across the organisation.

You will design clear, practical architectures that support the Markets platform and strengthen the group's client offerings. The role is collaborative, and your ideas will shape both business outcomes and technology direction.

As lead Enterprise Architect you will manage a small team and own all architecture decisions in your area. You will guide and challenge Markets teams as they build and deliver strategic roadmaps, and you will represent the business when working with Group Enabling Platforms so that technology delivery matches business priorities.

You will build relationships across platforms, functions and third-party vendors. Your knowledge of Markets and investment banking will inform business propositions, vendor products and industry partnerships that better serve Commercial clients.

The team works in an agile way on complex, high-impact problems. Enterprise Architecture plays a central role in setting direction and making sure architecturally significant outcomes are delivered.

End date: Thursday 12 November 2026.

  • Experience shaping current, target and transition architectures, with clear roadmaps and practical technology strategies.
  • Broad architecture knowledge across business, applications, data, infrastructure and security, including market and reference data.
  • Experience leading architecture governance and design decisions for a team that works with the business.
