IGA Lead Engineer

Description

The company is a large UK financial services group, and this IGA Lead Engineer role is open for applications until Monday 23 November 2026.

You will work in a product team on the identity governance and administration services that control who can access what across the company.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for the reliability, availability, performance and security of a set of IGA services.
• Set and run service level objectives for joiner, mover and leaver processes, access requests, provisioning, deprovisioning and access certification.
• Work with your product team to raise operational standards, remove manual toil through automation and apply Site Reliability Engineering principles across the IAM estate.
• Use observability, monitoring and operational analytics to spot risks early, before customers are affected.
• Keep improving resilience, scalability, recovery and performance.
• Work with application teams, platform teams and business users to deliver secure, compliant and easy-to-use access management.

Requirements

• You have led teams that keep identity governance and administration services reliable, available and performing well, covering identity lifecycle management, provisioning, deprovisioning, access certification and role management.
• You understand SRE principles and know how to apply them to IAM and IGA services to improve resilience, scalability and performance.
• You have cut operational toil through automation across identity lifecycle, access governance and provisioning.
• You know IAM and security control frameworks and have supported compliance, audit and security needs through operational controls, monitoring and recovery.
• You have led teams that support and continuously improve IAM or IGA platforms and services.
• You can define useful service measures, service level objectives and reliability targets, and use telemetry and service data to drive improvement.
• You have used observability, monitoring and operational analytics to find reliability risks early and drive fixes.
• You understand platform capacity, resilience, testing, validation and disaster recovery in critical technology services.
• You can assess and deliver platform improvements while weighing reliability, scalability, security, cost and user experience.

Conditions

Salary is £92,701 to £109,060.

Full-time, 35 hours per week.
