Senior Infrastructure/DevSecOps Engineer

The team builds and runs a complex software application and is hiring a Senior Infrastructure/DevSecOps Engineer, a full-time, regular position.

• You will work closely with the team to move a complex software application into operations.

Requirements

• Required: a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field plus 5+ years of infrastructure or DevOps experience, or a master's degree plus 3+ years of that experience.
• Required: strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with virtual or remote teams.
• Required: strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Required: experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Required: experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Required: experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or an equivalent.
• Required: scripting, automation, and programming skills, for example in Bash or Python.
• Required: existing IAT Level II or III certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CASP+, or the ability to obtain one.
• Required: an active U.S. government TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Desired: working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development.
• Desired: familiarity with government risk management framework (RMF) processes.
• Desired: familiarity with Linux systems administration and STIG hardening.
• Desired: familiarity with GitOps deployment workflows.
• Desired: experience with cloud networking and cloud security concepts.
• Desired: experience with containerized applications and container orchestration.
• Desired: extensive experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, and SQS.

Conditions

The position is full time and regular.

Minimum clearance to start is TS/SCI with a polygraph.

Travel of up to 10% is required, local only.

The proposed salary range is $90,300 to $189,600 USD.

Final pay depends on factors such as location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.
