Associate Cloud Engineer

Description

You will join the company as an Associate Cloud Engineer and help build and test its cloud platform software for highly distributed edge computing environments.

The work uses cloud-native and open-source tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenStack, alongside the company's own platform.

You will sit within global engineering teams that handle configuration, fault, and host management. The role covers development, testing, automation, and ongoing product improvement, with hands-on exposure to embedded systems, cloud technology, and mission-critical software.

The company is part of a larger group that serves automotive, aerospace and defense, energy, and telecommunications markets.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing and testing the cloud platform.
• Run tests and automation while building a solid understanding of the product and the technologies beneath it.
• Propose and drive improvements to product features, engineering workflows, and development practices.
• Share ideas for future product releases and iterations.
• Work effectively with engineers spread across the globe.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's (BE/BTech) or master's (ME/MTech) degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Program well in C and C++, with a firm grasp of RTOS basics and object-oriented design.
• Understand embedded systems well, including building software modules and testing and integrating driver or board-level system software.
• Have experience with, or working familiarity with, automation tools, software testing, debugging, and the wider embedded technology field.
• Be comfortable scripting in Python, with strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech across global engineering teams.
• Be interested in, or have experience using, artificial intelligence tools to raise engineering productivity.

Conditions

The pay range is $65,000 to $80,000 CAD, plus an annual incentive plan bonus.

Final pay depends on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, abilities, and internal equity.
